Kindness U is scouring the area for 5 kind and enthusiastic interns to join our team this Fall! We like people who know how to hustle (and if you know how to do the hustle, that’s even better!), and we are looking for smart, friendly, hard-working people to help us. Only Kindness Activists -- those with other peoples' best interests at heart -- will be considered.

Our mission is to make the world a kinder place, starting with our kids. We're a company with a noble cause – to grow a movement that spreads and inspires more kindness in the world! We do this by researching and gathering a range of inspiring information, articles, videos and stories which help parents raise the best kids possible. And then we share everything with as many people as possible!

Kindness Editorial Internship (3)

The ideal candidate will have a background in journalism (or a current journalism major), experience writing for a website, magazine or blog, and a passion for all things "Kind." Creative thinking is a must!

Responsibilities:

• Writing and editing copy Generate or find  headlines for weekly newsletter
• Researching and writing compelling stories about kind people and events .
• Brainstorming features and coming up with creative pitches for weekly content
• Reach out to bloggers and websites to get Kindness U featured videos

Copy Writing Internship (1)

The ideal candidate will have a background in journalism (or be a journalism major) as well as concrete copy writing and editing experience. Strong communication skills and a working knowledge of AP style are required. Attention to detail is crucial and experience with EO is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Writing and fact-checking copy
• Editing copy for content, structure, spelling, grammar, style, tone and flow

Social Media Internship (1)

Ideal candidate must have experience with and be currently engaged on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram). An interest in social marketing trends and analytics is also necessary. Experience with SEO preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Updating social media channels
• Engaging with followers
• Creating social campaigns to build following

The Fall 2014 internship program will run from October 10, 2014 to January 6, 2015. Interns must be available between 5 to 10 hours per week, and may work remotely. All internships are unpaid.
